Setting Up ApolloBot

Getting ApolloBot running takes less than a minute. If something doesn’t work, it’s usually just a permission issue we’ll cover that too.

Step 1: Invite the bot

Use the invite button on the homepage and select your server. Make sure you have permission to add bots.

Step 2: Enable embed fixing

In your server, run:

!embedfix on

This turns on the embed fixer for your server.

Step 3: Check permissions

Run:

!ab perms

ApolloBot will tell you if anything is missing.

Required permissions

For everything to work properly, ApolloBot needs:

• Send Messages
• Manage Messages
• Embed Links
• Attach Files
• Manage Webhooks

Common issues

Bot isn’t doing anything

Make sure you ran !embedfix on.

Bot can’t delete or replace messages

This is usually missing permissions or the bot role being too low. Move the bot role higher in the server settings.

Embeds still broken

Press the button under the message to cycle providers.

Optional setup

You can limit where the bot works:

!ab whitelist add #channel

Or disable it anytime:

!embedfix off
