How ApolloBot Works

ApolloBot is built to fix one annoying problem: broken embeds. You paste a link, and instead of a clean preview, you get nothing or something ugly. ApolloBot steps in and fixes that automatically.

What happens when you post a link?

When you send a supported link (like Twitter, Reddit, TikTok, or Instagram), ApolloBot detects it and creates a clean embedded version using a working provider.

It then reposts that version through a webhook so it looks like it came from you, just with a proper embed instead of a broken one.

Why use a webhook?

This keeps the message clean and natural. It uses your name and avatar, so it doesn’t feel like a bot interrupting the chat.

What if an embed still breaks?

Sometimes providers go down or change. When that happens, ApolloBot adds a button under the message.

Pressing it cycles through different providers until one works. No reposting. No deleting. Just one click.

Who can control the message?

Only the person who originally posted the link can:

• cycle providers
• delete the relayed message

This prevents other users from messing with your content.

Is this safe?

Yes. ApolloBot does not read private messages or store personal data from your server. It only reacts to links and processes them to fix embeds.

The goal is simple: make links actually work, without getting in the way.
